One Angel Killed 180,000 People?! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Shawn Ryan Show

The speaker discusses whether angels can kill, citing a biblical account of a single angel killing 180,000 people in one day. They explain that angels can kill populations when God commands them to do so, primarily to eliminate evil influences and prevent spiritual corruption from spreading to subsequent generations.

Summary

The transcript addresses a question about whether angels are capable of killing. The speaker confirms that according to Old Testament accounts, angels can indeed kill, but only when explicitly commanded by God to do so. They reference a specific historical account where a single angel killed 180,000 people in one day, presenting this as part of the mechanism described in the Old Testament. The speaker explains the theological rationale for such actions: God permits angels to eliminate entire population segments when those groups are engaged in evil activities that could corrupt others. The speaker further elaborates that the problem of spiritual corruption extends beyond just the perpetrators of evil to their children and subsequent generations. They describe how demons afflicting parents can also attach to and affect children, creating an ongoing spiritual problem. The speaker suggests that even if children were allowed to leave a corrupted community, the demonic attachment and influence would persist, justifying the comprehensive elimination of affected populations as a preventative measure against the spread of spiritual corruption.
