A Cardinal Gave Shawn Ryan a Protector for His Studio 😳
A cardinal presents Shawn Ryan with a religious artifact—an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe—while recounting the miraculous 1531 apparition to Juan Diego and explaining the supernatural preservation of the sacred mantle bearing her image.
Summary
The transcript documents a cardinal giving Shawn Ryan a gift related to Our Lady of Guadalupe. The cardinal narrates the historical account of how Our Lady appeared to a Native American named Juan Diego in 1531, identifying herself as the Mother of God and requesting a chapel be built to bring her children to Jesus Christ. According to the cardinal, when Juan Diego reported this to the bishop, Our Lady provided a miraculous sign by causing roses to bloom during winter on a barren, craggy hill where flowers would not naturally grow. Juan Diego gathered these roses in his mantle to show the bishop as proof. When he opened the mantle before the bishop, the roses fell out and the image of Our Lady was revealed on the cloth itself. The cardinal emphasizes that this garment is made of cactus cloth, a material that would typically deteriorate within 30-40 years, yet the image remains miraculously preserved to the present day. The cardinal then presents this religious artifact to Ryan as a gift, expressing that he wants Ryan to have it.
