Proven Millionaire Habits to Start Practicing Today | Bedros Keullian (Archived Episode)
Bedros Koulian discusses how hyper-successful people master their morning routines and daily habits to build momentum, emphasizing the importance of self-work to uncover one's inner radiance. He explains why imperfect action and rapid deployment beat perfectionism, and addresses how social media's design exploits human psychology while sharing personal stories about cultivating a 'savage servant' mindset.
Summary
In this interview with Tom Bilyeu, self-made millionaire Bedros Koulian emphasizes that successful people obsess over morning routines because everyone has the same 24 hours—what matters is how you use them. He describes his own routine: no snooze button, 30 ounces of water, shower, protein shake and coffee, then working through his GSD (Get Shit Done) list with the hardest task first. Crucially, he avoids social media in the morning because it triggers negative emotions like FOMO and shame that poison the mindset needed for business. He argues that winning the day leads to winning the week, month, year, and decade through compounding momentum.
Koulian introduces the concept of the inner radiance or light that everyone possesses at birth but gradually covers with layers of trauma, negative beliefs, and distractions (food, drugs, media, poor self-talk). The meaning of life, he proposes, is removing these layers through self-work to expose and amplify that inner light. After suffering a panic attack at age 37 despite business success, he entered 15 months of therapy with Dr. Kevin Downing, processing childhood trauma including sexual abuse. This self-work transformed his relationships, health, and sense of congruence.
On imperfect action, Koulian argues that people who act immediately and course-correct outperform perfectionists. He reframes failure as "temporary defeat"—a choice to stay down, not an inevitable outcome. The universe (or universal consciousness) rewards speed and action; waiting for perfect conditions means losing ground to those already moving. He launched Fit Body Bootcamp before trademarking it, learned by deploying knowledge the same day he acquired it, and always chooses speed over flawlessness.
Regarding social media, Koulian divides users into consumers and creators, advocating a 90/10 split in favor of creating. He sets rigid rules: limiting likes to three per session, no screens after 9 PM, and blocking people who send him negative news or drama. He acknowledges his addictive and obsessive personality (he once ate 13 bagels in 45 minutes standing at the kitchen counter) and uses rules to manage these tendencies rather than relying on willpower.
Koulian grew up in Section 8 housing in Santa Ana after his family escaped Soviet Armenia when he was six. His father, a Communist Party member, taught him judo and sambo early, then kempo karate. When gang members stole his bike, his father demanded he retrieve it with a flathead screwdriver—an early lesson in being a "savage servant," someone capable of violence but choosing to be peaceful. He dropped out of junior college after 32 days, having been fired from every job except Disneyland, making him unemployable in traditional work. This pushed him toward entrepreneurship.
He defines the savage servant as someone skilled in violence (martial arts, weapons, capability) but choosing mercy and service. He believes that most men today are passive-aggressive because society has neutered their capacity for healthy aggression, forcing them into "nice guy" syndrome. His 75-hour immersive program, the Project, teaches men to understand violence, get choked out, take punches, and learn to control aggression so they can choose peace from a position of strength. He recounts subduing a violent passenger on a flight from Maui using a rear naked choke hold, having recently completed an MMA training challenge.
On broader societal concerns, Koulian expresses worry about division and potential bloodshed, influenced by his childhood in a communist system where oppression was normalized. He believes there is a "they"—powerful people who conspire to maintain control, using tactics like inflation and compliance mechanisms. However, he emphasizes that individual self-work is where change begins, not top-down ideology shifts. He's sunsetting the Empire Podcast to focus on the Bedros Koulian Show, which addresses culture, community, and the forces dividing society, as he feels called to influence culture the way he did with entrepreneurship.

Key Insights
- Koulian argues that morning routines set up winning or losing for the entire day because everyone has exactly the same 24 hours, so efficiency in the morning compounds through the day, week, and decade.
- He claims that checking social media first thing in the morning triggers negative emotions like FOMO, guilt, and shame that contaminate the psychological state needed for business success.
- Koulian reframes failure as a choice—he refuses to acknowledge failure as real, instead calling it 'temporary defeat,' which allows him to stay in the game rather than give up.
- He believes humans are born with an inner radiance or light that gets progressively covered by layers of trauma, negative self-talk, and distractions, and the meaning of life is removing those layers through self-work.
- Koulian contends that the universe (or universal consciousness) rewards the person who acts fastest because they learn and iterate more than those waiting for perfection, citing Michael Jackson's belief that ideas float in the ether and must be captured immediately.
- He divides social media users into creators (90% of time) and consumers (10% of time), arguing that those who create content for their past selves level up while passive consumers get trapped in algorithmic rabbit holes.
- Koulian states that he knows how to cause violence because of early martial arts training by his father, which paradoxically makes him more peaceful because he's not neurotic about his capability.
- He claims that most men today suffer from passive-aggressive toxic masculinity because society has neutered their healthy aggression, forcing them into 'nice guy' syndrome where they can't choose peace from strength.
- Koulian argues that money is corrupting when inherited and unearned, so he plans to give away most of his wealth to protect his children from corruption, as he believes kids must earn their own way.
- He contends there is a 'they'—powerful people running the world through conspiracy—using division (left/right, masked/unmasked) and inflation to maintain control and compliance, influenced by his experience under Soviet oppression.
- Koulian believes that individual self-work, not top-down ideology change, is where societal healing begins, because each person must remove their own layers of darkness to expose their light.
- He argues that taking imperfect action immediately teaches you more than theoretically perfect planning because knowledge only becomes practical when deployed, not when consumed as information.

Understanding Socialism’s Historical Failures and America’s Economic Crossroads
Host Tom Abiliu discusses escalating U.S.-Iran conflict, economic deterioration including record labor force exits, the DSA's flawed grocery store policies using Peru's history as a cautionary tale, and China's AI strategy threatening American competitiveness, while emphasizing how historical patterns repeat due to human nature and the dangers of abandoning functional economic systems.
Planned Episode 7/18/2026
The episode discusses how AI abundance could create societal collapse similar to the Mouse Utopia experiment, arguing that humans have evolutionary algorithms requiring meaningful work and struggle. Without external pressures forcing contribution and growth, people will experience depression, social breakdown, and behavioral derangement across generations.
America Is 8 Million Jobs Short — And It's Getting Worse
Jeff Snyder argues the U.S. economy is in depression-like conditions despite stock market highs, caused by a 2021-2022 supply shock that impoverished workers while incomes stagnated. He explains how the Eurodollar system broke in 2007 and advocates for a decentralized digital currency system to restore trust and unlock future prosperity.
Trump Declares War on Iran (again), Inflation Crashes HARD, and ICE Killings Continue | The Tom Bilyeu Show
Tom Bilyeu discusses the paradox of falling CPI inflation driven by weakening demand rather than positive economic factors, analyzes escalating U.S.-Iran military conflict and its geopolitical implications, and highlights emerging technologies in manufacturing, crypto regulation, and AI that could reshape the American economy.
"This Is A $10 Billion Industry Pretending To Be A Trillion Dollar One" — We Had To React
The transcript features a debate between AI skeptic Ed Zitron and AI optimists about whether large language models represent a transformative technology or a financial bubble. While acknowledging AI's real capabilities, the hosts argue that massive infrastructure investments are unlikely to generate returns for early investors, following historical patterns of revolutionary technologies that bankrupt initial investors before enabling success for subsequent generations.
