What are channels in Claude Duet?
Claude Duet features a channels system inspired by Slack that allows users to organize conversations into separate subthreads within a main chat. This enables more structured collaboration by creating dedicated channels for specific projects, such as a sales channel for sales-related work.
Summary
The speaker discusses the channels feature in Claude Duet, which they identify as one of the aspects they most appreciate about the platform. The channels concept is borrowed from Slack's collaboration model and functions as a way to organize conversations into distinct subthreads or subplaces within the broader Duet workspace. Rather than conducting all conversations in a single main thread, users can break off into multiple channels, each dedicated to specific purposes or projects. The speaker provides a concrete example of having created a sales channel for managing sales-related projects, demonstrating how this organizational structure enables more focused and compartmentalized work within the Duet interface.

[0:00] Finally, the last thing I really love about Duet is the idea of channels. And Anthropic borrowed a little bit from Slack, which I feel like is everybody's favorite collaboration service, which positions these subhats, these subthreads, these like subplaces that you're going to work in as channels. So now you can kind of think of your duet as a main thread, a main chat, but but then you can break off other chats into channels and have specific channels. Like here I created a sales channel for [0:30] working on sales projects.

Claude Duet needs multiplayer (please!)
The speaker argues that Claude and similar AI products are currently optimized for single-player use and lack proper multiplayer capabilities. Despite integrations like Claude tags and Slack, the speaker contends that sharing agents with their small team of five people remains problematic, preventing these tools from becoming part of their regular workflow.
Claude Duet is great, but SLOW
The speaker expresses frustration with the slowness of AI model Claude, which impacts their willingness to engage with it. They compare its responsiveness unfavorably against more responsive alternatives, despite acknowledging Claude's capabilities.
Claude Duet should be more annoying
The speaker emphasizes the need for agents like Claude Duet to be more engaging and proactive to avoid being forgotten in the competitive landscape of digital assistants. They critique the current methods of communication, such as morning briefings, as ineffective in attracting user interest.
A perfect TikTok cut from a one sentence prompt
Claude code automatically transforms a single sentence prompt into a polished, TikTok-ready short-form video with captions, jump cuts, and zooms in approximately 4 seconds with no manual editing required. The tool demonstrates AI's capability to understand and execute high-quality short-form video production autonomously.
I made my website photo follow you (and wink)
The creator made an interactive photo of themselves that follows viewers around their website and winks when clicked. They accomplished this by converting a photo into a black-and-white dither pattern, using Claude to generate six directional versions of the image, and writing code to make it interactive.
